Granted...I live in a small town, but I didn't realize my 2-year old daughter is a minor celebrity in Cortland.
Earlier today, Ethan & I headed to our local library for a Christmas party they were hosting. Morgan and Karen were planning on showing up at the library about 45 minutes later (after naptime!).
When Morgan arrived and walked into the room where all of the kids and parents were watching a movie and doing a craft, almost everyone in the room turned and shouted, "Morgan!" A couple of kids came over to give her a big hug. The adults were all talking about how glad they were to see her.
When did Morgan become Norm on Cheers?

In Acts 17 the Apostle Paul is in Athens at a meeting place called the Areopagus - the gathering place for all those interested in "talking about and listening to the latest ideas." I have mused for some time that coffeehouses are the new Areopagus. The coffeehouse environment seems to encourage people to be more open with their hearts and their thoughts. About Me
- Chris Genders
- I am a staff member at Great Oaks Community Church in Germantown Hills, IL. An avid student of leadership and organizational development, I have just recently joined the staff of GOCC to lead and develop their adult small group program. I will also have the opportunity to serve as one of the teaching pastors during the weekend services. I have earned a B.S. in Business from Eastern Illinois University in 1996 and an M.A. in Leadership from Lincoln Christian Seminary in 2004. My wife, Karen, and I have been married for 12 years. We have two children, Ethan and Morgan. In addition to reading and spending time with my family, I enjoy backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, and many other outdoor activities. My favorite activity at this time is taking my kids for nature walks whenever possible.
